Design render of the wash drone from the front, lance extended and hose trailing behind

The wash drone

Six rotors, a spray lance and a hose to the ground. Built for SkyTech AeroWash. In development, not for sale yet.

How it works

Most of the weight never leaves the ground.

The pump, the water and the cleaning solution sit on a trailer or truck. A hose runs up to the drone, which carries a spray lance out in front. The operator flies the drone along the wall and the lance does the washing.

Because the aircraft lifts only a lance and a length of hose, it can be far lighter than a drone that carries its own tank.

Why it is built this way

Pump on the ground

The drone does not carry water or a pump. Less weight in the air means a smaller, steadier aircraft next to a building.

Six rotors, not four

Extra lift margin for the pull of the hose and the push of the spray, with room to stay controllable if one motor has a problem.

Standard parts

Motors, controller and radio are parts we can replace from the shelf. A damaged arm is a same-day fix, not a wait on a factory.

Where it stands

Six stages from drawing to work. This list is updated as each one is finished.
